He has lead/ facilitated implementation of over 200 projects, led innovation & facilitated technology transfers, published over 100 books, papers, articles, provided over 100 talks & guided about 50 interns/Masters/PhD students. He served as first CEO of REC Foundation, one of the top 10 CSR Implementing arm of REC Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Power for a tenure of 3 years. He operationalized the Foundation & provided leadership. He developed white paper providing governance/organizational/ operational structure with a 5 year roadmap. He led entire project implementation cycle from signing MOA, implementation, disbursements of funds, facilitating impact assessment, documentation & outreach. He was responsible to Compliance & reported to the Governing Body of REC Foundation, CSR Committee of Directors and Board of Directors of REC Limited. He contributed to the development of aspirational districts, addressing first & second wave of COVID.

Earlier, he worked as CEO at Clean Energy Access Network in New Delhi, worked with stakeholders promoting Decentralised Renewable Energy Solutions. As Programme Analyst in UNDP-India (New Delhi) on Energy & Climate Change, he implemented UNDP/ GEF funded projects. He was UN Focal point & facilitated signing 'UN as Strategic Partner of International Solar Alliance'. Direct rolling, an innovation he led, avoided the need for a reheating furnace in a composite steel mill and saved about Rs 1500 Cr in 300 mini-steel plants in India. He was Fellow & Area Convener at The Energy and Resources Institute. He led multidisciplinary team in the area of Rural & Renewable Energy. He worked as Project Engineer at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, running one of the first mini-grids in India. He worked as Lecturer at Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Davangere, Karnataka, taught subjects like Dynamics of Machinery & Heat Transfer.
