The project was implemented to make the new UN Extension (Annexe) office in New Delhi a Near Zero Energy Building. The work involves technical consulting for 1,000 m2 of new annexe building to make it net zero energy building. Deep retrofitting of UN House in Delhi through integration of energy efficiency and renewable energy interventions. Energy efficiency interventions include proposals for building envelope, lighting, HVAC and electrical systems. It is estimated that through implementation of energy efficiency interventions, the energy use intensity will reduce from 190 kWh/m2.year to 90 kWh/m2.year. Solar PV of 130 kWp capacity has been also proposed on RESCO model

Energy and Environmental Audit of UNICEF India Headquarters, New Delhi

Low Carbo Transition

GHG Emission

UNICEF building located in Delhi is aiming at assessing the energy and environmental performance for the entire site and develop a roadmap with a set of recommendations for low carbon transition.

This process will evaluate the direct and indirect GHG emissions from operation of the building and the site, detailing out on the operational energy use. Based on this evaluation, potential measures have been mapped to improve the energy and environmental performance and documented into a roadmap for phase-wise implementation by the organization. The outcome of this audit was ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 assessment of the building, water balancing for the entire site (annually and season wise mapping), waste generation mapping and estimation of different Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to energy and environmental parameters.
