This project was an artists’ studio in Greater Noida. There are two identical buildings without external windows. Daylight penetrates through various vertical & horizontal slits in the buildings. The basement and ground floor are exclusively for studio work, with a trapezoidal shaped library on the mezzanine floor, and a residential suite on the first floor. IDSPL did the daylight analysis for the studio and used the daylight autonomy approach. Daylight autonomy takes into account facade orientation and user occupancy profiles and considers all possible sky conditions throughout the year.
